In 2007, Robert founded Media-Corps with the goal of improving the advertising sales performance of The Globe and Mail newspaper in the U.S. He succeeded in his goal, and turned Media-Corps into a dual-client sales agency, adding La Presse/Gesca Group (the media division of Power Corporation of Canada) as a client after only one year in business. Shortly thereafter, Media-Corps started working with TC Media and Sympatico (owned by Bell Media), and later with Bell Media’s video division. With Robert at the helm, Media-Corps has continued to expand, and now works with 16 Canadian media partners.
Since Robert was a child, he knew two things: he was going to be an entrepreneur, and he would work in the media industry. When he graduated from Simon Fraser University, Robert joined The Globe and Mail to spend 12 years learning about the media industry and honing his sales skills. Eventually, he became sales manager for The Globe in Toronto and eventually Director of Sales for Eastern Canada and Europe, and then finally in the entire U.S.
Robert is a true student of the media industry, committed to ongoing learning and keeping up with industry trends. He is a huge believer in the importance of using the maximum number of channel touch points to engage increasingly time-stretched consumers and leveraging the power of data to optimize and deliver results. But as important as this is for orchestrating successful marketing campaigns, Robert’s number one goal is keeping people happy, including his coworkers and clients. Come to Robert with a problem and he’ll stop at nothing to provide you with a solution. This solution-oriented attitude is the cornerstone of Media-Corps.
